Clay's remarkable ability to clean the skin by drawing out impurities makes it an ideal ingredient for a radiant complexion. Throughout herstory, it has been cherished for its cleansing, nourishing, and exfoliating properties. What you will learn: -the properties of various clays: white kaolin clay, fuller's earth clay, french green clay, bentonite clay, and rhassoul clay -the properties of skin-supporting herbs: calendula, chamomile, lavender, rose, plantain, and more -how to blend and customize ingredients for your specific skin type What you will take home: -1 oz clay mask -2 oz dry face wash -PDF booklet of all information and recipes covered in class I will offer a weather-dependent herb walk at the end of class. This will allow us to walk through the garden and take a peek at springtime herbs peeking up at us from the earth. *The address and booklet will be sent out the Wednesday before class. **I prioritize quality and sustainability by using ethically sourced, organic, and (when possible) locally-sourced herbs and ingredients from trusted farms and suppliers. All packaging is predominantly glass and aluminum.
