Baking with Herbs

Service Description

Baking with herbs provides an opportunity to infuse our cooking with healing vibes! Although baking sometimes requires us to use a bit more sugar and oil, we can create beautiful bakes using healing herbs to offset the carbo-footprint, and besides, who cares about that anyway?! Set right before the holiday, this class is meant to inspire some fun recipes for the season. What you will learn: -healing properties of various herbs -how to effectively powder herbs for baking -infusing herbs into syrups -substituting herbs for dry ingredients in baking What you will take home: -students will take home: herb-infused cake or cupcakes, herb infused cookies, and herb-infused crackers -PDF educational booklet covering all recipes, techniques, and information on the healing power of the herbs we use! *Please advise me prior to signing up if you have a food allergy. This class will be able to accomodate some, but not all, gluten and dairy allergies by using products deemed gluten and dairy free, but we are not baking in a gluten free or dairy free kitchen. **I prioritize quality and sustainability by using ethically sourced, organic, and (when possible) locally sourced herbs and ingredients from trusted farms and suppliers. All packaging is predominantly glass and metal. ***Directions and the PDF booklet will be emailed the Wednesday before class for those who wish to print it.
